Zach's Business Venture

Zach has been a great brother watching Madison compete at the Horse Shows. He loves making money and he is always looking for ways to earn some dough. One day at the horse show he kinda fell into an opportunity. One of the ladies who competes within our barn likes to have someone there for her when she comes out of the ring to give her water and tend to her horse. Because Zach is at the shows and had developed a friendship with this gal and her husband, she asked him if he would be interested in becoming her groom. Zach accepted and gets paid by the day. He also takes care of his sister and her horse as well. He has 2 clients and next month he has been ask by a couple others to be their groom. So he is developing quite a little side business and just loves it. He is very responsible and is becoming quite comfortable around the horses. Way to go Zach! Here are some pics of him in action.

Passenger vs. Rider

Hi Everyone, We just came back from 11 days of Traveling. The first part of our trip is the subject of this post. We headed down to Bend, Oregon for a horse show. Madison and Timmy were amazing. Madison became a rider vs. a passenger. This season she has improved incredibly thanks to her coaches and her focus as a rider. She moved up a division at this show to pre-childrens. So the jumps are higher and the riders are older and more experienced. Mike and I were so proud of her. She and Timmy are becoming quite the team. Madison has really devoted herself this season to mastering the basics. It's always great going to Bend, Or. We love going to the OLD MILL to shop, eat and catch a movie. Here are some pictures from this trip.

Coulon Park 08

Well I got this great idea from my sister-in -law Angie. Thanks Ang!!! I think I will give this a try since finding the time to scrapbook is difficult. Took the kids to Coulon Park in Renton today. Joining us was Shaina Mitchell and Caitlin Mahan. Kids swam except for Zach due to his injury. but the girls were awesome throwing him the football while he waded in the water. I just love the summer time. It was a beautiful day and Lake Washington was glistening. So Cool! We Packed a lunch and then went and got some shakes at Kid Valley. YUM!!!

Last Friday night we made a trip to the emergency room. Zach was back in the woods behind the house with 2 friends. They were doing what boys do...jumping their bikes over a jump. He flipped over handle bars, landed on a branch on his left thigh. I wish I had a picture but it would gross you out. It was a doozy all the way down to the muscle and the size equivalent to 1/2 a tennis ball. I have to say it was quite a site and I was even queezy looking at it. The crazy thing is he was wearing shorts. He didn't realize the laceration was there til he felt something and looked under his shorts. It didn't even rip his shorts. Weird!!! So the 3 boys got on their bikes and headed home for help. Zach was crying and scared but had the presence of mind to get home. Madison was the first to see and she took charge, found Mike and off they went to ER. I met them there. Zach was a trooper. They got it all sewn up and its healing nicely. He's a champion. Now he is going stir crazy having to lay low. But he will have a nice scar to brag about!!!!

Lastly, I took my Personal Trainer Certification this weekend and think I did well. So as soon as I get my Certificate in the Mail I will be taking on clients.

Hope this finds you all well. Enjoy your summer!!!

Love Yall.
