!st Annual Jingle Bell Run

This year we decided as a family to run in the Seattle 5K Jingle Bell Run for Arthritis. Also, joining us was Aunt Angie,Jed, Trainer Angie, Beth( angie's Sister-in -law) and Beth's Mom. We had so much fun doing this as a team. We got up super early and headed downtown Seattle in the frigid cold. Colder than its ever been in Seattle in 20 years. Burrrrrrrr!!! We had so many layers on we could barely bend our knees to run. Angie and Beth dressed up with Santa Hats and tree skirts(so cute). Next year we will all coordinate and dress up for this event. As we were funning thru the tunnel in seattle we were singing Christmas tunes. It was very cool. After we all crossed the finish line we headed to Pike Place to eat at Lowells. Our usual breakfast stop. Again, great memories and we ran for a good cause. Special to us is a boy named Pete. He never once complained and always had a smile on his face. He played on Zach's flag football team and he has Rheumatoid Arthritis. So our family mantra became "running for PETE." Feels good to make a little difference in someone's life. We love you Pete!!!
Lets do it again next year and bring more people with us.

Annual Downtown TRIP

Well we celebrated another year in downtown Seattle Jed, Ang and Syd. We always get up early the day After Thanksgiving and head to Seattle to see the Macy's Parade. Then we head over to buy pajamas for everyone at Old navy. After shopping there it's time for Lunch at the Nordstrom cafe which we all love. We stayed at the Sheraton this year. They have an awesome pool so the kids swam several times. The Wolgamotts joined us this year one evening so the kids could swim together. Its so beautiful in downtown Seattle, we just love wondering around and doing whatever. We always head to Pike Place Market to have breakfast at Lowell's which has an awesome view of the water and the ferry's. Another magical memory making weekend.

Visit to Salt Lake City

Just got home from an incredible weekend with a very close friend (Fabby)and her awesome family. She has the cutest, cozy home that is very old but beautifully redone and decorated. All I wanted to do was sit in her family room by her christmas tree, drink starbucks and catch up on our lives. Well that's about all we did except a little shopping and a country western "kick it up" concert. Its amazing how close friends can not talk frequently but when they do connect is like no time has passed. You only get a few really close friends in a lifetime and this is one of mine. We talked about everything. We had a game night with her daughter (RIO) and her husband (TROY) and laughed so hard our stomach muscles were sore the next morning! Now that's a good laugh!!!! It was a weekend of memories that I will carry with me forever. Relationships are the cornerstone of life and I really wanted to renew and refresh this one. Boy, am I glad I did. Pour time into your relationships, its what really matters in life!!!

Thankyou Fabby,Rio and Troy.

SHREDDERS FB TEAM

Zach is playing flag football. He came up with the name the shredders and everyone thought that was a great name so they embraced it. They are a pretty darn good Team. Zach is fast, so he was running back for his first game. He scored the only touchdown and caught a pass for the extra point. This week he will play QB. They lost their first game but they are a good team and have a double header this Saturday. I love being a football MOM! Very Fun. I just need to chill on the sidelines. (hehe)

Point Defiance Zoo

We had an opportunity to take in the the Zoo on Friday. The weather was perfect. Madison, Zach, Sydney my neice, my good friend Colleen and her grandson Tristan were part of our adventure. We started out with Face painting. The kids sat in a trance as they got painted. The animals were active and fun. We got to see elephants, HUGE Walruses, Anoas, Monkeys, Lemurs, Beluga Whales, Red Wolves and many others. We ate ice cream or at least Sydney and Tristan ate our ice cream, we had a couple bites.(LOL) Tristan and Sydney were amazing and loved it. Lots of giggles. Madison and Zach were so helpful with the little ones. Colleen and I took in the beautiful plants around the Zoo cuz we like that stuff. There was also a friendly peacock that just hung out and was as tame as could be as the kids chased it. All in All, a Great DAY!!!

Love DT Seattle

The Kids and I hopped in the convertible this am and headed to Pike Place. I just love that place. We had a Cup of coffee at my favorite coffee shop called Local Art and Color. My brother Jed introduced me to this cool coffee shop. Then we cruised Pike place eating samples, buying flowers and taking in the sites. The weather was perfect!
